My mother - bless her soul.
Had her grandson staying and she was trying to brake the habit/misfortune of bed wetting [he was at that age where it was possible 7 year old] and had some thing that he really wanted - a toy truck which was kept on the mantelpiece and when he had gone 20 nights he could have the truck. Well he had an accident after some 15 nights, when I asked why she didn't just give it to him She said that it broke her heart but if he could go the 20 nights he would stop the bed wetting, it would become a habit.
