Strange, I'm 66 live on my own, do pretty much what I want; go to gym twice a week. On a Monday go to college, now that it is summer "bees" and a little bit of charity work a few hours a week [pay back – that's what I tell myself]. When I was 24, 10 days before 25, I was run over basically I was going along the top of the "T" when someone came from the other side and went down the tail. The result, I was hospitalized for 9 months eventually the right leg was amputated below knee. 6 months rehab, then 6 months "sick leave" where I took off and hitch-hikes around Europe for 9 weeks, (1972).
I have done pretty much what I've wanted to within reason. Unlike a lot of others who have difficulty spelling I find that I can't reed well, what I see isn't always what is written down, more than 6 letters throw in a "ph" or an unusual word in places I don't expect [you get the message]. However I have always believed in myself, the thing is getting others also too. I met a lady friend who said that it was my mind that interested her [and I thought it was my looks] this got me to realize that there are ways of getting by so thanks to spell check and Google's Dictionary.com.
In my spare time I was playing games on the computer, eventually I decided to rather do something that would exercise my brain so one thing or another and the thought of the possibility of making a few $$$$; I looked, spoke, joined, left and although I knew about The 30 Day Challenge [had done that years ago – got nowhere], left the re-visit till last. In desperation re-visited "The 30Day challenge" only to find it is now just "The Challenge" [I'll tell you what is wrong with it there is no charge – or very little], and started doing the modules. That's life, the best thing is found last.
In Module Four-Day One Ed talks about The Julie/Julia Project, I listened and thought yes!, yes!, we all want that - but I liked what he says so I'm going to work at it. Well can you imagine my surprise when I saw that I have someone new following me on twitter and a guru at that? It is true that a house has to start with the first brick. Now that was a morale booster if there was one, if someone else can be interested in you then you owe it to them to keep their interest - amazing!
To think that Ed wants nothing other than to be able to say that he helped and even then he doesn't talk about it. If he was anyone else he would have a set-up where there was a membership and gold membership and had he started a paid training site when he first started ..... [read my article "Ed Dale" to be published in www.EzineArticles.com]. I'm waiting for them to accept my corrections and then publish – 7 days.
I haven't made any $$$$ yet but I am getting all the bricks together. By the way if you are like me looking for help, look anywhere and everywhere but make sure that you include www.challenge.co not only will you save $$$$ but you wont find better advice anywhere - if you do please let me know. |
